Tesla and Samsung: Elon Musk’s EV maker agreed a $16.5 billion chipmaking pact with Samsung, which will see the Korean company dedicate its production in an upcoming Texas fab to making the brains of future Tesla self-driving systems.

Meta vs. Apple and Google: Meta and other app developers are fighting Apple and Google over who is responsible for child safety online as multiple US states consider and pass conflicting laws requiring companies to verify user ages.

Lyft’s robotaxi deal: Lyft and Austria’s Benteler Group are joining together to bring autonomous vehicles to the ride-sharing platform in the US. The group plans to test Benteler’s Holon urban electric shuttle at US airports and cities next year.

Semiconductor production equipment supplier Screen Holdings Co. saw its shares drop by nearly 10% on Monday following disappointing June-quarter results. Aside from falling shy of consensus expectations with its operating profit, the company also failed to revise up its forecast, citing uncertainty about the first months of 2026.
