Amazon is set to acquire Bee AI, a San Francisco-based startup known for its AI-equipped wearable device that resembles a Fitbit and can examine conversations to provide to-do lists, task reminders and summaries. This acquisition aligns with Amazon's strategy to enhance its AI capabilities, following its introduction of AI products like Trainium chips and a shopping chatbot. Bee AI head Maria de Lourdes Zollo expressed excitement about joining Amazon, stressing a focus on personal AI integration.
A Socialtrait survey found 97% of respondents saying that AI-generated content should be labeled as such, although only 3% said they feel adequately equipped to navigate AI-driven media. The survey also found 88% of Generation Z and 84% of millennials expressing confidence that they can identify AI-generated content, but tech-savvy respondents acknowledged a success rate of around 40%.
