The FIFA Club World Cup final drew more than 80,000 soccer fans to the Meadowlands on Sunday. The president, his wife, and her sunglasses were among the attendees of the match, between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. As Dan Adler reported from the scene, the game—and its halftime show—served as a preview of next year, as the flight paths of global sports and politics are due to intersect in an even bigger way when the World Cup proper comes back to North America. Expect more scenes of Trump on the pitch and probably more befuddled soccer players in northern New Jersey.
