Attendance Matters!

Every day matters at Bren Mar Park ES!

Consistent school attendance is crucial for the academic and social development of the children in our school community.  Regular attendance leads to better academic performance, development of life skills, and strengths a child's sense of belonging within the school community.

To support your child's attendance, we ask that all family vacations and trips which would take your child out of school are scheduled on an already-scheduled day off from school.  You can view the 2025-26 FCPS calendar at https://www.fcps.edu/calendars

Summer Learning Resources

To support continued student learning over the summer, FCPS has created a Summer Learning Resources Webpage https://www.fcps.edu/node/51479/  for families of students currently in Grades K–6. The webpage includes optional, grade-level digital activities in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies that align with what students have learned during the school year. These resources are designed to be flexible, engaging, and easy for families to use at home.  Families can access tech support at the Families: Tools and Technology page.

These resources are available to students and families throughout the summer and use familiar tools such as Science A-Z, Pebble Go, Gizmos, Newsela, MyOn, Britannica Elementary, ST Math, and Benchmark Universe.

Your child can continue to learn and practice academic skills throughout the summer with a variety of tools offered through Fairfax County Public Schools.  Visit https://www.fcps.edu/services/technology/digital-resources-grade-level to learn more about digital resources that your child can access now and into the summer months.

Thank you for helping families stay connected to learning this summer!
