Eat. Watch. Do.

Thursday, July 10, 2025

It’s Thursday, Chicago.

If you’re looking to mix up your late-night hangout spot and want an alcohol-free space, food reporter Zareen Syed takes a look at the rise of Yemeni coffee shops, which are becoming popular “third place” hangouts for a diverse group of customers.

We’ve also got reviews of the latest “Superman” movie, which film critic Michael Phillips says has a strong first hour and an excellent Lois Lane, and “Twelfth Night” at Oak Park Festival Theatre, which Emily McClanathan characterizes as more comedy than love story.

Enjoy the weekend, we’ll see you back here next week.
