It’s Thursday, Chicago.

Another three-day holiday weekend is headed our way. Starved for ideas? Make sure you check out our roundup of restaurants offering specials for Independence Day, and our list of area fireworks displays should spark some enjoyment.

This week, food critic Louisa Kung Liu Chu reviews Void, a new Avondale restaurant serving whimsical takes on Italian American classics, like reimagined SpaghettiOs.

Plus, we have your go-to guide to farmers markets in Chicago and the suburbs this season, and a review for “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the latest summer blockbuster out this week, by film critic Michael Phillips.

Enjoy the holiday. We’ll be back next week.
