The Atlas Programme
Our Atlas programme was set up in 2022 by our Director of Coffee, Freda Yuan, with the intention of supporting and empowering women coffee producers, regardless of their farm size. The programme involves exclusively purchasing coffees directly from a cooperative of women producers in Colombia, paying a premium for their coffee, and supporting with training and improving crop quality.
Freda connected with Luz Marina Salgado through the Atlas programme in 2023, and was immediately impressed with her and her family’s devotion and perseverance towards quality coffee cultivation, and nurturing nature towards their staff. Since meeting, Freda and Luz have worked closely to evolve Luz’s farm practices and elevate her crop and processing to an exceptional standard. La Granja Natural Decaf serves as a perfect example of the potential from these partnerships.
