Justices Limit Nationwide Injunctions, Allowing Birthright Citizenship Order to Take Partial Effect

The Supreme Court limited the ability of federal judges to pause President Trump’s executive orders, but it made no ruling on the constitutionality of his move to end birthright citizenship.

The decision allows the order to take partial effect in 30 days, allowing time for additional legal challenges to be filed.
