Health insurers to smooth the preapproval process. The changes could ease a major pain point for doctors and hospitals, who complain they must hire extra staff just to deal with the burden of seeking insurer permission to provide care to patients.

Lawmakers seek to close expensive loophole. The bipartisan group wants to stop large healthcare insurers from charging Medicare billions of dollars to cover veterans who get some or all of their treatment through the taxpayer-funded U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs health system.

Novo Nordisk ended its partnership with Hims & Hers. The Danish drugmaker accused Hims & Hers of illegally selling cheaper copycats of its weight-loss drug Wegovy and engaging in deceptive marketing. The company plans to expand access to Wegovy through a collaboration with WeightWatchers.

Conagra brands to remove certain color additives. The food and snacking brands company will remove certified food, drug and cosmetic colors from its U.S. frozen product portfolio by the end of 2025.
