⚓ Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee on Thursday signed into law a bill banning the sale, purchase, and manufacture of assault-style weapons – considered a compromise measure that lawmakers said moves the state forward, despite falling short of prohibiting the possession of such firearms. Read more.
⚓ Trinity Brewhouse, the highly visible brewpub and mainstay in downtown Providence, has been sold this week to a group of local owners who have operated restaurants in Providence and East Greenwich. Read more.
