New Standards+Innovation award launched for education in standardization
With the launch of the first Standards+Innovation Awards, CEN, CENELEC and their members took important steps towards giving researchers well-deserved recognition for their contribution to standardization. However, there can be no research in standardization without education in standardization.
CEN and CENELEC join the EURAS Standardization Conference
This year’s annual Standardization Conference took place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from June 18-20. It was supported by UNE, StandICT.eu, and Edu4Standards. About 50 experts from academia and standardization gathered to discuss the state of research on standardization.
CEN and CENELEC's International Policy Team presented to CSBs how CEN and CENELEC develop standards in support of European legislation and cooperate with ISO and IEC. It was a great occasion to virtually meet and interact with 86 CSB representatives, coming from five different continents.
CENELEC represents Stan4SWAP at the IndTech Conference in Krakow
On 2-4 June, the Polish Presidency hosted the EU INDTech conference dedicated to industrial technologies and materials for a sustainable Europe. The conference acted as a meeting place for science, industry, technology and ideas. CENELEC was invited to represent the Horizon Europe project Stan4SWAP, together with over 800 participants from across Europe.

New Website Launched to Support Cybersecurity Standards for the CRA
A new website has been launched to support the development of cybersecurity standards aligned with the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), highlighting the work of the STAN4CRA projects. Funded by EISMEA and EFTA, these projects aim to accelerate the creation of harmonized European cybersecurity standards.
