What to know about ‘No Kings' protests Saturday in Mass., across U.S.

Opponents of President Donald Trump’s administration are set to rally in Boston and hundreds of other cities and towns on Saturday during the military parade in Washington for the Army’s 250th anniversary — which coincides with Trump’s birthday.

The “No Kings” protests are set to take place to counter what organizers say are Trump’s plans to feed his ego on what is also his 79th birthday and Flag Day.

The “No Kings” theme was orchestrated by the 50501 Movement, a national movement made up of everyday Americans who stand for democracy and against what they call the authoritarian actions of the Trump administration. The name 50501 stands for 50 states, 50 protests, one movement.

Person with measles visited Boston, health officials warn

A person with measles visited Boston over the weekend, health officials said Friday.

The Boston Public Health Commission and Massachusetts Department of Public Health said the infected person was in the city June 7-8.

The health agencies are working to identify and alert people who may have been exposed. They specified that people who were at the following locations at the listed times could be affected:

Sprawling new Waltham park brings parking concerns to neighborhood

Parking issues at a new park in Waltham, Massachusetts, have gotten so bad that neighbors say they can’t let it slide any longer.

It all has to do with swinging a parking space inside Waltham’s sprawling 200 Trapelo park.

“We’re actually from Beverly, so we drove an hour to get here today,” Lisa Ellis said Friday. “I can see why everybody wants to come here, this is awesome!”
