Ramesh Viswashkumar, the lone survivor of the Air India Flight 171 crash, revealed he miraculously survived by escaping through a broken emergency exit near his seat — 11A — before the plane caught fire and its fuel tanks exploded.

Viswashkumar, who also described the moments leading up to the crash and watching others die in front of his eyes, summed up his extraordinary survival in a few words: “It’s miracle, everything.”
