Our Favorite Under-the-Radar Emmy Picks

Not everyone can be invited to the Emmys, and not a year goes by without the Television Academy snubbing some of the best that television has to offer. The list this year could include Somebody Somewhere, Pachinko, Black Doves, and plenty more wonderful series that, for whatever reason, just don’t seem to have broken through the noise (or gotten high enough viewership to register with Emmy voters).

That’s just how it goes when, as ever, there’s Too Much TV—and blockbusters like The White Lotus, The Last of Us, and Adolescence take up so much of the oxygen. With voting beginning today, Little Gold Men hosts David Canfield, Richard Lawson, and Rebecca Ford use this week’s roundtable to champion some of this season’s awards underdogs—as well as a few actors who deserve highlighting too.
