A British national has reportedly survived the Air India crash. NBC News has cross-checked the flight manifest and confirmed that the name of the man and the seat number match those reported by local media.

The survivor, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, told The Hindustan Times, “Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.”
