Historical records about the pope’s grandfather unveiled by the Cook County clerk’s office

Ever since news broke that the new American-born pope is from Chicago, researchers and hobbyists have wasted no time digging into historical records to learn more about the pope’s roots. That was no different for the staff at the clerk’s office of the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives.
