A message from Principal Steven McFarlane
Kilmer Community,
It’s hard to believe that we only have five weeks of school until the end of the year. Our teachers continue to push our students to finish the year strong in their classes. We also have lots of fun events in store, including the PTA Spring Carnival. This is an after school event that our students look forward to every year. You’ll find more details below, along with information about all of the other end of year activities we have planned.
With the end of the year in sight, we’ve also noticed an uptick in student behavior issues particularly during hallway transitions. I will talk to students about our hallway expectations in Monday’s morning announcements. I would really appreciate it if you could reiterate to your child the importance of moving quickly to class during transitions, walking calmly, and students keeping their hands to themselves.
Have a wonderful weekend and as always, reach out with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Steven McFarlane
Principal

The Kilmer MS HPE Department was also thrilled to welcome Susan Snider, a USA Archery team member who competed for Team USA in 2019 and 2022 and now coaches at a local archery club. Ms. Snider visited our HPE classes on Thursday, May 15, to share her experiences as a professional athlete and coach. As our 8th graders wrap up their archery unit, this visit offered a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn from a true pro! #KilmerPE #ArcherySuccess #AimHigh #LearningFromTheBest
