Credit: EPA | A man has been charged with eight counts of second degree murder after a car drove into a crowd at a Filipino street festival in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday, killing at least 11 people - including a five-year-old girl. Kai-Ji Adam Lo, 30, appeared in court late on Sunday and is expected to face further charges. The identities of those killed have not been released by officials, and police said dozens more were hurt. The attack on the annual Lapu Lapu Day festival, which is not being treated as terrorism, has been described as the "darkest day in the city's history". |
