The operation of concession stands during athletic events is a primary source of funding to support our sports programs. Volunteers are always needed.
Each individual who volunteers their time gets to allocate $10 towards the sports program of their choice. We encourage parents of players to volunteer during a different level of play so they don't need to miss their our player taking part (i.e., a varsity parent volunteering during a JV game).

Athletics Website Issues
We want to keep you informed about the ongoing issues with our athletic department website. Over the past month, the site has experienced significant disruptions, including inaccessibility and scheduling errors. These problems stem from a recent change in vendor ownership, and the site migration has not gone as planned.
We have been in direct contact with the vendor, including at the CEO level, and have been assured multiple times that they are actively working on a resolution. However, due to the complexities of the situation, we’ve been advised that it may take some time to fully resolve.
In the meantime, we encourage you to bookmark the link below, where you can access all up-to-date schedules and rosters.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this issue. Thank you for your support!

FCPS COMMUNITY MESSAGE ON NEW VHSL PHYSICAL POLICY
Legislation introduced in the Virginia General Assembly and recently signed into law will result in two significant changes to the athletic pre-participation examination (physical) requirements for FCPS student-athletes:
- Beginning July 1, 2025, athletic physicals will be considered valid for a period of 14 months from the date the form is signed by the medical provider completing the exam. This is the date on page 3 of the VHSL Athletic Participation/Parent Consent/Physical Examination Form (revised January 2021).
- Beginning May 1, 2025, FCPS student-athletes are EXPECTED to have athletic physicals completed on the new VHSL Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Evaluation Form (revised April 2025).
We will be sending out specific messaging with a link to the new form on May 1st. Up until then, you may use the currently approved forms.

SUPPORT THE JUSTICE HS AWARD-WINNING STUDENT PUBLICATIONS!
Justice High School has three amazing student run publications – all of which have received the highest VHSL distinctions! Our student publications allow Justice student journalists and artists to ask critical questions, hone their skills and produce work that matters to them and their community. These publications also give our young people an outlet to express their unique and diverse voices while learning valuable collaborative and independent life skills.
The Justice High School Publications Boosters proudly support and promote our award-winning publications program. Specifically, we are seeking donations and sponsors to fund student journalism academic opportunities and experiences, and to expand the reach of the program - including a new broadcast curriculum!
To better support these amazing students (and educators) and ensure the next generation of critical thinkers and journalists, The JHS Publications Boosters are asking for your support! Please consider donating by visiting our website – CLICK HERE - or using the QR Code below.
Contact us with any questions, to get involved or to become a publications sponsor at jhspublicationsboosters@gmail.com – or visit our Instagram @jhspubsboosters. Thank you for your support!

Athletic and Activities Event - Student Pick Up
For all night activities, to ensure students are getting picked up in a timely manner, all students who are waiting for a ride after a night event shall wait near the main entrance—a well lit area in front of the school. We encourage all students to plan for a ride ahead of time and to contact that ride before the event ends to ensure a safe and timely pick-up. It is an expectation that all students are picked up and off campus within 30 minutes of the event ending. For example—if a football game ends at 9:00pm, all students should be off campus by 9:30pm. In the event a student is repeatedly staying late on campus, beyond the additional 30 minutes, the student’s ability to continue to attend night events may be impacted. Thank you for your cooperation!
