OpenAI said the FBI has arrested one of its employees in connection with a sophisticated listening device found hidden in one of the company’s offices.

The ChatGPT maker said it does not believe Abdulrahman Alfozan, a 35-year-old Saudi national, was able to spread source code or user data. OpenAI said it used its own AI models to identify Alfozan, who officials believe was responsible for planting the device and was planning to deploy others like it.
