Today we're mourning the loss of STAT's infectious disease reporter, Helen Branswell, who died this morning at 69. Helen's reporting was incomparable, and I will treasure all of the years we worked together in our Boston office. In a remembrance piece, Andrew Joseph beautifully captured the many things that made Helen special to her colleagues: her cheerleading, her quiet way of doing kind things for others, her famous banana bread. She will be so dearly missed. — Sarah Mupo, director of editorial operations
