The man convicted of orchestrating rapper Tupac Shakur’s killing in 1996 has been sentenced to 40 years to life in prison. The sentence includes a 20-year mandatory enhancement for profiting off the murder, Judge Carli Kierny told the court. “You don’t get to take a man from his family,” she said to Duane “Keffe D” Davis. “You don’t get to take his very life, his whole life, and just walk away from it, especially when that man is Tupac Shakur.”
