Snipboard Beta 2 Now Available
New: Movable Snip Bar, Previews, and More
This is the first update for Snipboard and it adds more control over where the paste bar opens, a way to see a whole clip before pasting, new privacy options, and several fixes. The update is rolling out now or you can download it directly.
The snip bar can now be dragged to a new spot by grabbing the handle on its inner edge. Outlines show every position the bar can go, including a floating popup that opens next to your pointer. The bar can also be pinned so it stays open, with each paste going to whichever app you last clicked. Multi-monitor users can choose to open the bar on the monitor with the pointer or always on the primary display, and mouse users can open the bar by pushing the pointer against the edge of the screen.
Previews let you see the full text or image on a clip before pasting. Right-click a card and choose Preview, or hold Shift, to open it with Copy and Paste buttons. You can also set previews to open when the pointer rests on a card, with Small, Medium, or Large size options.
A new Temporary copy option (Win+Alt+C) copies content that Snipboard forgets automatically after one minute to one hour. Temporary copies are never sent to your other devices and are cleared from the clipboard if still present. The update also includes fixes for sync between devices, a new Reset sync option, and a fix for the tray icon disappearing when Windows Explorer restarts.
