On June 30, 2026, Utah submitted a request for a renewal of the section 1115(a) demonstration entitled the "Utah Medicaid Reform 1115 Demonstration". This renewal request seeks to continue the authorities in the current demonstration and seeks approval of six pending amendment applications. The state is also requesting the authority to combine four demonstration populations (III, V, VI and Current Eligible CHIP children) into one population, the authority to end the Targeted Adult Medicaid Demonstration on June 30, 2027, and the removal of Supportive Living Services from the behavioral health benefits for the Adult Expansion Population. The federal public comment period will be open from October 7 2026 to November 6, 2026.
