Sterile Atlantic Salmon Provides U.S. Farmers Greater Opportunity for Cost-Effective Production

ARS scientists in Orono, ME, are working to help U.S. salmon farmers consistently deliver high-quality products to consumers. Within their production systems, salmon farmers often face the challenge of fish that mature too early. This can lower the salmon’s flesh quality and make the fish less marketable.
