Nevada is proposing an amendment to the approved Treatment for Opioid Use Disorders (OUDs) and Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) Transformation Project section 1115 demonstration, which would add coverage for medical respite services for certain individuals, as required by Nevada Senate Bill 54 (2025). This amendment would provide acute and post-acute medical care and support services to individuals who are experiencing homelessness who are unable to completely recover from an illness, injury, or disease and do not require care from a hospital or other inpatient medical facility. The federal comment period will be open from October 7, 2026 through November 6, 2026.
