An IBS label. Three concerning findings. See the clinical reasoning—and discover more of what FMU offers.
Dear Colleague,
You may know FMU for sequencing. But have you seen the education and resources behind it?
Listen: A Clinical Case—and a Look Inside FMU In this four-minute audio, I walk you through an important clinical decision and introduce education, resources, and support you may not realize FMU offers.
A 48-year-old woman seeks help for persistent diarrhea and bloating. Her symptoms were previously described as
IBS.
“I’ve changed my diet three times. I’m taking supplements. Why am I still having this problem?”
As you review her history, three details stand out:
Diarrhea sometimes wakes her during the night.
She has unintentionally lost weight.
Her symptoms have become more frequent over three months.
She asks whether another stool panel or a different supplement will help.
What would you clarify before adding another intervention?
Those three findings warrant medical evaluation. The previous IBS label should not close the investigation.
The first priority is to assess severity and coordinate appropriate medical evaluation, with attention to hydration and nutritional status. Urgency depends on her condition.
The important decision begins before choosing a gut protocol:
“What needs evaluation before I can responsibly build this plan?”
Your foundation helps you recognize why those findings matter.
Sequencing helps you organize what happens
next.
At FMU, you learn both.
There Is More Inside FMU Than You May Realize
