• The initiative expands Meta’s reach beyond consumer social products by packaging tools such as the Muse agent, Muse API and Meta Business Agent for corporate IT buyers, putting the group in more direct competition with enterprise software incumbents like Microsoft and Salesforce while it seeks revenue sources that are not tied to advertising.
• Meta shares trade at US$715.62, with the stock up 23.8% over the past month, while the announcement coincided with declines in both Meta and MongoDB, including a fall of more than 18% in MongoDB following Desai’s departure.

This new enterprise push raises the stakes for Meta because success depends on convincing risk‑averse CIOs that a consumer social media giant can meet demands on reliability, support and data governance that are standard in corporate software, rather than optional extras.
