Double Comparatives (Days 3-4):

Phrases like "the sooner, the better" are often treated as fixed sayings, but this is actually a versatile grammatical structure. Learning how double comparatives work gives you a clear way to express cause and effect in your own sentences:

• "The longer I live here, the less I miss home."
• "The more I practise, the more confident I feel."

The Subjunctive Mood (Days 13-14):

You've likely heard native speakers say things like "Suffice to say, he wasn't happy", "Come what may" or "So be it". These phrases sound natural when you hear them, but very few learners realise they are built on the subjunctive mood.

Once you understand the pattern behind it, you can start constructing your own nuanced sentences to express wishes, demands and hypotheticals.
