Trump just signed off on an alarming multibillion-dollar arms sale of 2,000-pound bombs to the Israeli military. The blast from just one of these bombs can leave a crater 50 feet deep and kill someone 1,000 feet away from detonation.

How has the Israeli military used these bombs before? One study found that it air-dropped them dangerously close to hospitals in Gaza, where thousands were seeking refuge, causing massive death and devastation.

The Israeli military could soon have 40,000 more bombs like these at its disposal. Unlike sales where the U.S. government authorizes and facilitates the payment and delivery, this one is likely to happen through a mechanism known as “foreign military financing,” where governments receive U.S. taxpayer-funded grants to buy their bombs and bullets.

You read that right: It means BILLIONS of dollars in weapons for the Netanyahu government, bought and paid for by the U.S. taxpayer.

But the Senate can BLOCK this sale by passing a joint resolution of disapproval.

A record 40 senators voted to halt the sale of armored bulldozers to the Israeli military earlier this year. Now, as more Americans than ever before believe that the U.S. government is too supportive of the Israeli military, we need to expand our Senate coalition into a majority.
