For decades, we believed ADHD symptoms and impairments would diminish with age due to maturity, life experience, and functional workarounds for deficits. Increasingly, however, we are hearing the opposite.

This webinar will explain what the latest research says about how ADHD symptoms and impairment change with age, plus the factors that may be driving these shifts. Individuals will better understand how ADHD symptom and impairment severity can change across the lifespan, from childhood to adolescence to various stages of adulthood. You will learn about:
  • The paradox that ADHD gets better and worse with age, and understand how these dueling narratives emerged
  • The difference between ADHD symptoms and impairments, and how stage of life can influence shifts in ADHD severity
  • The contextual and developmental factors that influence one’s experience of ADHD across the lifespan
  • Whether there are predictable processes that may lead ADHD to get better and then worse, or worse and then better in certain individuals.
