New Art Therapy Group gives Homeless Veterans a Creative Path Forward

Every Wednesday morning, a quiet transformation happens inside a room at the Houston VA's Community Resource and Referral Center (CRRC).

Veterans, many of whom are struggling with homelessness and substance abuse, can be found working with watercolors and colored pencils as music plays softly in the background. It's part support group, part art class, and part something harder to name; a space where healing happens.

Flu Shots now Available

Houston VA is now giving flu shots to Veterans. Veterans can drop by the main lobby on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or receive a shot at a primary care appointment. Veterans at our community based outpatient clinics can get a flu shot through their primary care team.
