We’re almost 9 months into 2026.

So I thought it’s a good time to show you how my trading is performing this year.

These aren't backtests. These are live trading results with real money.

Let's start with the first one.

Account #1: Momentum

This strategy looks to buy stocks that are showing strong momentum and ride the trend for as long as it persists.

Here's how it's performing so far in 2026:

YTD return: +30.58%

Do you notice something?

It wasn't a smooth ride. There were several sharp pullbacks along the way, especially around July and August.

That's the reality of trading. Even when a strategy is profitable, the profits are never a straight line up.

Next, my second account…

Account #2: Mean Reversion

This strategy works very differently.

Instead of buying strength, it buys stocks that are oversold and sells them on the next bounce higher.

Here's how it's performing so far in 2026:

Here’s the thing…

I have no idea which of these two strategies will perform better for the rest of the year.

Zero. None. Zilch.

And that’s the whole point because I don't need to know.

When the market rewards momentum, Account #1 does the heavy lifting.

When the market gets choppy and mean-reverting, Account #2 steps up.

It's like having two employees with completely different personalities. Together, they cover each other's blind spots.

(Unlike my actual children, who only ever cover for each other when they've broken something in the house.)

Now, let me be clear about something important…

These returns will not continue in a straight line.

Both strategies will have losing trades. Both will go through drawdowns. Both will have stretches where they test your patience, your confidence, and your hairline.

And it’s normal.

Because what matters isn't finding a strategy that never loses.

It's having multiple strategies that complement one another—so you can profit in different market conditions.
