I'll be back in the office next week starting Monday. I've been working from home since the start of the month, mostly because the kitchen renovation was too loud during calls. The contractor finished the main work on Thursday and only has to come back for a small paint touch-up next Tuesday afternoon. I'll go in at my usual time, around 8:30, and park in the same lot as before. My desk should still be in the same spot, but I'll check with Maria on Monday morning about any changes.

I met with the landlord yesterday about the parking lot. The meeting was at 2 PM, and it went for about forty minutes. We went over the new spaces near the back fence. He said those will be painted by next Tuesday. I asked about the cost for the extra two spaces I wanted. He told me it would be $50 more per month starting in March. That is more than I expected, so I said I would think about it. I also asked if the gate code would change this month. He said no, it stays the same until April. After the meeting I walked around the lot and counted the open spaces. There were eleven open spots at 3 PM. That is fewer than last month at the same time. I wrote down the number on my phone so I could compare it next week. I plan to call him back on Friday with a decision about the extra spaces. I am leaning toward taking only one of them now instead of two.
