Hey, yeah I finally got around to switching that lamp out in the hallway, the old one was making that faint buzzing sound every time you walked past. It took maybe ten minutes total, most of that was just finding the right bulb in the closet because someone rearranged the shelves again. Anyway it's much better now, no more flicker, and the whole corner feels brighter without being harsh. I also moved the plant stand back about two inches so you can open the window without catching the leaves. Tomorrow I'm planning to take the recycling out early before the wind picks up, then maybe we can finally hang that framed map.
I told Dana about the new recipe, the one with the roasted peppers and the garlic butter sauce. They said it sounded good but they'd probably swap the peppers for mushrooms. Honestly I think mushrooms would work too, maybe not the same texture but still solid. We're not doing anything big this weekend, just catching up on chores and watching that documentary about the river system. Let me know if you still want to borrow the cooler before Thursday, otherwise I'll leave it in the garage near the ladder. Nothing urgent here, just checking in while I have a quiet minute in between tasks. Hope your week is moving along okay.

Okay, so I was thinking about the garden bed out back, and I believe the soil needs one more turn before we put anything in. The rain last week really packed it down, especially along the left edge where the gutter drips. I'll rake it out on Saturday if it stays dry, and then we can decide whether to do herbs again or just go with a wildflower mix this time. The neighbor's cat keeps sitting on the fence near the bird feeder, which is fine but the birds clearly don't love it, so I might move the feeder a few feet over. Also I found that old radio you asked about, it's tucked behind the winter coats in the spare room closet.
No rush on returning the hand drill, we're not starting the shelf project until next month anyway. When you get a moment, maybe send me the name of that podcast you mentioned at dinner, the one about old buildings and how they were constructed. I tried searching but there are like six with similar names. We're doing a big pasta dinner Sunday, nothing fancy, just a lot of garlic bread and salad. Bring your dog if you want, the yard is fenced and he always gets along with Biscuit. Talk soon, and no pressure, it's all low priority on this end.
