Regarding the weekend plan, I think heading out early on Saturday around eight gives us enough time to grab coffee at the place near the station before the train. We should aim for the ten fifteen departure so we arrive before noon and still have time to walk along the riverfront. If you want to bring your camera, the sun should be nice around three, especially near the old stone bridge. For dinner, I called the tavern and they can seat six of us at seven thirty if we confirm by Friday evening. The rental place closes at six, so returning the car before then works best. Pack a light jacket since it cools down after dark. Should be a relaxed day overall.
