    Honestly I think the best route is to just take the back roads through the county, especially this time of year when the
    leaves are starting to turn. You avoid all the construction on the main highway and there's that little farm stand
    with the apple cider donuts. I grabbed a dozen last weekend and they were gone before I even got home. The kids
    keep asking when we're going back. 
 Anyway, if you leave around nine you should beat the lunch rush, and there's a
    decent parking area near the trailhead. Make sure to bring water, and maybe a light jacket because it gets breezy up
    by the overlook. I saw a couple of deer near the creek last time, so keep an eye out. The trail itself is pretty
    manageable, a few rocky spots but nothing too steep. My neighbor said the new loop they added on the north side is
    worth the extra half mile. 
 We could meet at the usual spot near the old stone bridge if that works for you. I'll
    bring the binoculars this time, forgot them last trip and missed a whole flock of warblers. Let me know what time
    you're thinking and I'll adjust. Should be a good day for it, the forecast looks clear and the humidity finally broke.

For the team meeting next Tuesday, I think we should break into smaller groups instead of one big discussion. Last time, a few people dominated the conversation and we ran out of time before covering the agenda. If we split into groups of four or five, everyone gets a chance to talk about their specific projects.
I can put together a quick agenda and assign the breakout questions by Monday afternoon. Could you send me the current list of action items from last week so I can match people to the right topics? Also, the new intern starts Wednesday and I'd like to make sure someone is assigned to show them around. The office layout changed after the remodel, so even basic things like where the printer lives might not be obvious.
On a related note, the kitchen on the third floor is still out of order, but the one near the east conference room got a new coffee machine. If this meeting runs long, we might want snacks or at least water. I'll check with facilities about reserving the room with the good projector screen. Let me know if you'd rather meet in person or include a remote link for the folks who are traveling that day.
