The internet is full of things to buy. But which ones are actually worth your money?
Consider this our take on the “Things Worth the Money” trend—Newsette edition. Our editors try a lot of new products each month, from beauty launches that promise to change our routines to little luxuries we didn’t know we needed. So, we’re sharing the standouts. These are the best new products we tried this month—the things we’d repurchase, recommend to a friend, and, most importantly, happily spend our own money on.
Allies Peptint Tripeptide & Goji Cells Plumping Lip Treatment: We’ve tried enough lip plumpers to know that “tingling” doesn’t always equal “working.” We love that this new launch from Allies of Skin takes a more skincare-first approach. The formula feels like a weightless gloss, comes in three wearable shades, and has a cooling metal applicator that makes every swipe feel a little more luxe. Our favorite shade? Nirvana.
Q-tips Clean Disposable Face Towels: Face towels probably weren’t at the top of your shopping list, but hear us out and ask yourself how often you’re actually washing your face towels. These single-use towels are made from 100% soft cotton and are sturdy enough to dry your face without tearing or leaving lint behind. Our tip? Use it to dry off your sink after you dry your face. It’s not the most glamorous addition to our beauty routine, but it’s become one of those little upgrades we’re weirdly excited about.
Medik8 Crystal Retinal Serum: Retinoids are always on our minds as certified skincare girlies. Medik8’s titrating retinal system is our new go-to because they have strengths for every level of retinoid user—including the sensitive-skinned among us. We love that this takes the guesswork out of retinoids and can’t wait to see how each new strength continues to impact our skin.
Quince Demi Small Shoulder Bag: A good shoulder bag becomes such an integral part of your wardrobe… and this one has already won top spot for fall. The rich dark brown looks gorgeous with autumn colors, and it actually fits over your wool coats—no rage-inducing sliding included.
LILFOX Chill Wands: We can’t exactly say these are a necessity, but we can say that using them on your face with a sheet mask on after a long day feels incredible. They’re also great to use on your temples if you have a migraine or to rub in some aloe vera on a sunburn. And they stay cold for way longer than you think.
Eight Sleep Pod: We’re very serious about our sleep, so anything that promises to make our eight hours even better immediately gets our attention. The Eight Sleep Pod turns your existing mattress into a smarter sleep setup, adjusting the temperature throughout the night so you’re not waking up freezing or kicking the covers off at 3 A.M. It also tracks your sleep and recovery behind the scenes. Is it an investment? Absolutely. But considering how much time we spend in bed, we’re willing to hear it out.
Dedcool Room + Linen Spray: If you’re already obsessed with Dedcool’s Xtra Milk fragrance, consider this permission to make your entire home smell like it. A few spritzes on your sheets, sofa, or basically anything made of fabric leaves behind that familiar musky, slightly sweet scent without making the room smell like you emptied an entire perfume bottle into it. We especially love spraying it on our bedding before climbing in at night.
WTHN Acupressure Mat: Lying on a mat covered in tiny spikes doesn’t exactly scream “relaxing,” but give this one a few minutes before you judge. The WTHN Acupressure Mat is designed to apply pressure across your back and body, and we love pulling it out after a long day spent hunched over a laptop or whenever our muscles are feeling particularly tight. There’s definitely an adjustment period, but once you settle in, it’s surprisingly satisfying. Our recommendation? Start with a T-shirt on before graduating to bare skin.
