Yeah I saw the photos from last weekend, the light was really nice around the lake. Honestly I think we should try that trail again before it gets too crowded.
I also finally picked up the book I mentioned and I'm about halfway through.
The second chapter drags a little but the rest moves fast once you get past it.

That new taco spot on fifth is actually pretty good, though the wait can stretch long on weekends. I tried the roasted mushroom one and it was my favorite.
Also made a batch of that lemon olive oil cake for the potluck.
It turned out more dense than last time but still disappeared fast.
I might add a little more zest next round and see if that helps the flavor come through.
