I reviewed your note about the upcoming neighborhood meetup and I think the park on Cedar is still the better option. The pavilion there has enough shade for the older folks and the parking lot is much closer to the tables than the one at Maple Grove. Your point about the playground being near the setup area is fair though, kids will be running around either way. If we lock in Cedar I can bring the folding canopy from my garage and maybe borrow two long tables from the community center on Thursday morning. Need to know by Wednesday night so I can adjust the headcount for the sandwich platters. Also the restroom situation at Cedar got renovated last fall and it is actually decent now so that should not be a concern. Let me know your thoughts before noon tomorrow.

Thinking about the Saturday plan you asked about. I can do the early slot at the community garden but I need to leave by eleven to pick up my daughter from her art class across town. The soil delivery is scheduled for eight thirty and usually three of us can unload in under an hour if the truck backs up to the fence gate like last time. Bring gloves because the last batch had thorns mixed in from the brush trimmings. After I leave, Carlos said he can finish the watering and lock the shed if you show him where the spare key is kept now. Also the hose reel cracked over the winter and needs a replacement part ordered before the next workday or we will be dragging buckets again. I can put in the maintenance request tomorrow morning.
