Yeah I finally got around to sorting the garage shelves this weekend, turns out half the bins were just old cables and random brackets I forgot I owned. It took longer to untangle things than to actually put stuff away. My neighbor stopped by mid-project and we ended up talking about work benches for a good twenty minutes, which somehow turned into a debate about the best way to store leftover paint. He swears by keeping the original cans upside down, but I tried that once and the lid seal got weird after a few months. Anyway, I told him I'd send over the shelf bracket measurements later this week once I find my tape measure, because of course it wasn't in the drawer where it belongs.
How's your weekend going? I remember you mentioned trying to reorganize the closet under the stairs, did that ever happen or is it still a pile of coats and board games? Let me know if you want help moving the heavier stuff out of there.

So I was at the park with my dog yesterday and this guy started asking me about the bench near the big oak tree, whether it gets full sun in the afternoon or not. I've never really thought about it before, but I told him it faces east so by mid-afternoon it's mostly shaded under the tree. That got us talking about wood types and how cedar holds up versus treated pine if it's near grass and sprinklers. He was thinking about building his own bench and wanted to know if I'd ever tried a curved seat design. I said no, straight boards only, but now I'm kind of curious. My dog got bored and started pulling on the leash, so we headed over to the other side of the pond by the small stone bridge.
Are you doing anything outdoor-related soon? I keep saying I'll stain the deck before the weather shifts, but every weekend something else comes up. Let me know if you end up trying that bench project.
