That route adds about twenty minutes to the usual loop but the overlook is worth the extra stretch. We should pack a thermos and a couple of sandwiches, nothing heavy. Parking at the visitor center is straightforward before noon, but after that it fills quickly. If you would rather meet at the east gate instead, let me know before Friday. Either way, I can bring the map and the small first aid kit from the closet.

So for the storage unit pickup, I called the office this morning and they told me the elevator on the south corridor will be down for maintenance until Tuesday. That means we have to use the freight entrance on the west side, which adds a bit of walking from the loading dock. I already borrowed the hand truck from my brother and it fits in the back of the SUV if we fold down the third row. The boxes are stacked in the far corner, but the manager said they numbered each one with a black marker and the labels face outward. We should plan for about an hour and a half total. If we leave by nine, we can avoid the rush at the intersection near the mall. Bring gloves because the edges on some of those bins are rough. I will text you when I am outside.
