I met with my neighbor this morning to talk about the fence between our yards. We sat on his front steps for about twenty minutes. We went over the cost of the wood and the labor, and he said he would call the supply store by Thursday. I told him I could pay for half of the materials and help with the posts on Saturday afternoon. The ground on my side is a little lower near the back corner, so we agreed to add more gravel under that section. I wrote down the measurements on a notepad and left a copy in his mailbox. After the meeting, I walked around my yard and marked where the new line would go with small orange flags. I want to move the gate opening three feet to the left so my trash bins fit through without scraping. I will send him the name of the hardware store I used last time for the hinges.

I checked my calendar this morning and saw that next week is already filling up. Tuesday has a dental appointment at 9, and Thursday I have to pick up my son from school by 3. That leaves Wednesday looking the clearest. I was thinking 1 PM on Wednesday would work for me, since I will be back from lunch by then. Last time we met at 11 AM and the room was still busy from the earlier group. If we set it for 1 PM, we can use the small conference room near the front desk. I will confirm with the office manager today and send a note to everyone by tomorrow afternoon.
