Hey, how's your week shaping up? I was thinking about that conversation we had last Tuesday about meal prepping and how it always sounds like a great idea until the third day of eating the same grain bowl.
Honestly, I think the trick is rotating the sauce or switching the protein halfway through. That's what I've been doing lately, and it makes a surprising difference.

Speaking of routines, have you tried that new park on the east side? I went for a walk there yesterday afternoon and the trail was way less crowded than I expected. There's a little loop by the pond that's perfect for clearing your head after a long day.
Anyway, I ran into Jordan near the picnic area and we started talking about that old bike repair shop downtown. Apparently it's closing at the end of the month, which is a shame because the owner always let you borrow tools for free.

Also, I finally organized my bookshelf over the weekend. Took way longer than it should have, mostly because I kept stopping to reread random chapters. But now everything's sorted by genre and it feels oddly satisfying.
Let me know if you want to grab coffee sometime soon. I promise to actually be on time for once. Hope the rest of your day goes smoothly.

You asked about my weekend, so here it is. I ended up doing a deep clean of the garage, which was honestly overdue. Found three different sets of mystery keys and a single roller skate that I have absolutely no memory of buying.
The weirdest part is that the skate still fits. So naturally I wore it around the house for a solid hour while sorting boxes. My cat was thoroughly unimpressed and spent the whole time judging me from the top of the dryer.

Later I went to that little farmer's market near the old train station. Picked up some honey from a guy who keeps bees on his apartment balcony. He was very enthusiastic and gave me a detailed lesson on bee behavior that I did not technically ask for, but it was genuinely interesting.
He mentioned that bees get calmer when you hum a low note, which I haven't tried yet because I don't want to scare the neighbors.

Oh, and I finally got around to watching that documentary about competitive furniture building. It sounds dull, but it was strangely compelling. The tension during the final dovetail joint judging was real. I never thought I'd root for a carpenter from Ohio, but there I was, fully emotionally invested.
I also reorganized the spice drawer and labeled everything with a label maker. It felt like an accomplishment, even though absolutely no one will ever care. Anyway, thanks for listening to my rambling. We should catch up properly next week.
