I'm going to get home later than usual tonight. There is more traffic than normal, and I stopped to get gas after work. I should be there by seven o'clock. I already called about dinner, so there is no need to wait for me to eat. I can just heat up a plate when I get in. I also need to check the mail when I arrive, because I am expecting a package. It did not fit in the box yesterday, so they said they would try again today. I will let you know if I see it by the door. After that I'll come inside and put my bag down. I'll probably take a shower before I sit down, since I was outside for a while. I do not think we need to change any plans after that. I can still help with the dishes and take the trash out before bed.

I'll take the side road past the school instead. That usually saves five or ten minutes. I should be pulling in around 6:45. If you want to start dinner without me, go ahead. I already ate a granola bar in the car, so I'm not that hungry. I'll heat up whatever is left when I get there. Can you leave the porch light on?
