I was just thinking about that conversation we had last weekend about the garden.
Honestly, I completely forgot to mention the little herb box on the side of the house.
You know the one I mean, right by the porch light. It gets good sun in the morning.

I think the mint is getting a little crowded again, but the chives look strong.
Not a big deal either way, just something I noticed when I was out there.

Okay so I finally tried that hiking trail you mentioned, the one behind the old mill.
It was much muddier than I expected, but the overlook part near the end was worth it.
We stopped for a while near the oak tree with the split trunk.
Saw a couple of blue jays and one very stubborn squirrel.
Next time I'll bring different shoes, maybe the ones with better grip.
Also, the coffee place on the way back changed their hours again, just so you know.
If you go before noon it's usually not crowded.
