I’m 58. If you’re in your 30s, read this.

Hey zxcv, it’s Mark.

When most people turn 30, they think they’re running out of time.

But let me be blunt… your 30s are your new 20s as you have the same lessons, but more leverage.

You’ve got the scars, the skills, and (finally) the cash and confidence to win.

If you’re younger than 30, then you can still read this email to get ahead.

1) Don’t Be The Best, Be The Only.

You can do this by learning seemingly unrelated skills and combining them together.

Steve Jobs is well known for mixing his love for calligraphy and design with technology and creating Apple as we know it today. He was the only person doing that at the time.

You have such a great edge with your unique experiences, talents, and interests that you’ve developed in your 20s and 30s.

When you combine all these things to become ‘the only’, it makes you completely irreplaceable.

AI will never be able to take your job if you’re one of a kind!

2) Grow Your Personal Brand

In your 30s, you’re better positioned than anyone to grow a personal brand.

That’s because you now have enough experience, even if you don’t initially realise it.

You probably have some authority in a certain area or niche, so you can share your knowledge, perspective, and life stories.

This will always give you the upper hand no matter how good AI gets, because it can never replicate the life experiences you’ve lived through.

When I started my personal brand, I didn’t understand YouTube or social media. So I teamed up with my son Curtis, who listened to my stories and life experiences and turned them into useful videos that millions of people found valuable.

My stories and unique perspective allowed me to become the biggest personal finance brand in the world without flexing a fancy lifestyle. You can do the same with your own unique lived experiences.

3) Avoid Buying a Luxury Lifestyle

Most people you see flexing on a luxury lifestyle on social media are actually far from successful.

They only want to LOOK rich and not actually BE rich.

Seeing people live these luxury lifestyles might tempt you to start playing the flexing game too, as you feel like everyone is living a better life than you.

Once you’ve made your millions, you can buy whatever you want. That’s the point of becoming wealthy. However, in the early days, you can’t live like a king and build wealth simultaneously.

Instead, invest in assets such as stocks, shares, crypto, and real estate.

zxcv, what was your biggest takeaway from this email? I’d love to know, so hit reply to this email.

All the best,

Mark Tilbury
