The crew is wondering if the community garden plot next to the south fence is still available for the fall planting season. I told them I would write to the coordinator on Thursday.
We have about six people ready to help with soil preparation and we can bring our own tools. Last year the garlic did well, and the kale survived until late January.
Does anyone know if the water spigot will be turned on until the end of October? A few of us are also hoping to plant some chard and beets this time.
Please let me know if the supply shed combination changed from the spring. We added a new wheelbarrow and some bamboo stakes to the back corner in June.
The zucchini, as usual, took over a large square and we tried to prune the leaves so the squash would get more sun.
I can meet at the plot next Saturday morning around nine if that works for the keyholder. There is no rush on a reply.

Tell me about the plan for the break room microwave. I heard someone dropped a glass dish inside last Wednesday and the smell of burnt popcorn still lingers.
We cleaned the glass pieces out and wiped the interior twice with baking soda, but the stain on the ceiling panel is still there.
The assistant manager left a note asking for a new cover for the rotating plate. I think the old one cracked near the edge.
We can pick one up at the hardware store on the corner, and I can bring the old part with me to match the size.
Also, the small table near the window is wobbly, and the leg has been taped once already.
Maybe we can tighten the screws with the hex key from the bottom drawer in the storage closet.
If that doesn't work, a folded napkin under the shortest leg usually stops the rattle during lunch.
Let me know if you want me to bring some lemon wipes and a new sponge for the sink area.
I noticed the paper towel roll holder is loose again, and the bracket needs a new screw.
