Treg Taylor disqualified from ballot as pressure grows for consolidated governor’s race →

With a single Democrat remaining in the race, the November ballot is likely to include three Republicans, but the list of candidates appearing on the ballot hasn't been finalized yet. Pressure is growing for Republicans Bernadette Wilson and former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson — who finished third and fourth in the primary — to consolidate their tickets.

Terrence Haas, who led the Public Defender Agency, resigned after a motion for a new trial in a case he’d overseen as a judge raised questions about whether he held a bias against a public defender who had dated Haas’ former law clerk, who is now married to Haas.
