I checked my calendar for the next staff meeting. I saw that it was set for Tuesday at 8:30 AM. That time was too early for me because I have to drop my daughter at school first. She starts at 8:15 AM. I usually get to the office around 9:00 AM. Last month the meeting was on a Wednesday at noon. That worked better for me. I called the meeting organizer and asked if we could move it to 9:15 AM on Tuesday. He said yes and sent a new invite. I also wrote down the date change on my paper calendar at my desk. The meeting is now on Tuesday at 9:15 AM in the small conference room. I will leave home at 8:40 AM to get there on time. After the meeting I will go to my regular desk and check my messages. That is what I decided to do.

I went to the store after work today instead of waiting for the weekend. I got off at 5 PM and drove straight there, which meant I hit the heavier checkout lines. I usually go on Saturday morning, but we were out of milk, bread, and eggs, so it made sense to go now. The eggs went up another forty cents since last month, which I noticed when I compared the price tag to my last receipt. I also picked up a bag of rice and two cans of soup because they were on sale. I did not buy any meat this time. I decided to use what we already have in the freezer for tomorrow's dinner. I was home by 6:15, put everything away, and checked the receipt against what I actually bought. Everything matched, so nothing needs to be returned.
